Hi guys! I know it’s been a while! Let me do a little life update for you. February was a very calm month. I don’t mind that I didn’t do much because January was so hectic, I really needed a little time to recover and take care of my health. So I met up with friends, ate healthy, went to the gym a lot, … things like that.
Now for the exciting part: MARCH. I literally travelled this whole month! I have so much content ready for you, you won’t know what hit ya.
My first endeavour was Okinawa! My friends from my home university (we are now spread out in universities all over Japan) and I decided to meet up in the most epic way: on a tropical island. Our stay was amazing and the food absolutely delicious! It felt so good seeing them again after six months.
The first day after we arrived, it was a very rainy and windy day. We were kind of disappointed because… well yeah, we were on a tropical island and expected sun.
But nevertheless, we tried to make the best of it by going to the famous Okinawa Chiraumi Aquarium. The fish we saw there were amazing! From huge crabs to whale sharks.
The next day the sun finally came out yaaaaay!!! We were so happy. First thing we did, of course, was go to the beach. The beach was B-E-A-UTIFUL. Absolute heaven. We did get sunburnt really badly… but it did not ruin this amazing day.
The last day came so quickly. Because it got cloudy again and we were all in pain because of the sunburn, we just chilled and explored the beautiful city of Nago. It’s a cute small city that has a ton of pastry shops. Okinawa has so much sweet potato pastries and sweets! As most of my friends know, I’m a sucker for sweet potato (all day errday), so I was really in my element and ate so (read: too) much. It was an awesome way to end this beautiful trip.
Hope you enjoyed this cute post about Okinawa. Stay tuned for more posts about Okinawa and my trip to KOREA!
